Feel calmer, clearer,

and more in control, without forcing yourself to cope.

Private EMDR therapy for high-functioning women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in old patterns, even when life looks fine on the outside.

You might recognise this

You are capable, thoughtful, and used to getting on with things.

But inside, your mind rarely feels quiet.

You replay conversations.

You worry about getting things wrong.

You feel responsible for keeping everything together.

Your body stays tense, even when there is no obvious reason.

You feel tired in a way rest does not fix.

You might look calm on the outside, but inside it feels loud, rushed, or fragile.

And no matter how much you understand yourself, the same reactions keep showing up.

This is not because you are weak.

And it is not because you have not tried hard enough.

It is because your nervous system learned to stay alert, and it has not yet

been able to let go.

Why insight alone does not bring relief

You might understand why you feel this way.
You might know where the patterns started.

And yet, your body still reacts as if nothing has changed.

That is because many emotional responses are not held in conscious thought.
They are stored in the nervous system.

When something has not been fully processed, your system stays alert.
It reacts quickly, automatically, and often out of proportion, even when life looks stable on the outside.

This is why:

  • Talking can help you understand, but not settle

  • Coping strategies can help you function, but not feel free

  • Willpower can keep you going, but not bring ease

Nothing has gone wrong.

Your nervous system simply has not yet had the chance to update.

Real change happens when the system itself no longer feels under threat.

What is EMDR and why it helps

EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is a therapy that helps the brain process experiences that are still stored as threatening, even when you know they are in the past.

When something has not been fully processed, the nervous system stays on alert.
That is why reactions can feel automatic, intense, or out of proportion.

EMDR works by allowing the brain to reprocess these experiences safely, so they lose their emotional charge.

As this happens:

  • Triggers soften

  • Anxiety settles

  • The body no longer stays on high alert

  • You respond rather than react

You do not have to relive everything or explain it perfectly.
We work at your pace, guided by your nervous system.

This is not about coping better.
It is about allowing the system to finally let go.

How we work together

This is private, one-to-one work, shaped around you.

We begin by understanding what your nervous system is reacting to now, not by digging unnecessarily into the past.

Sessions are calm, structured, and paced.

Nothing is forced. You stay in control throughout.

Our work typically includes:

  • An initial assessment and stabilisation phase

  • Clear focus on the patterns affecting your daily life

  • EMDR to help the nervous system process what it has been holding

  • Integration so changes carry into real life, not just the session

Many clients notice shifts within the first few sessions, not because they are trying harder, but because the system itself is no longer stuck in threat.

This is not a commitment. Your information is kept private.

About me

I am Aylin Webb, a Psychologist specialising in EMDR and CBT.

I work with high-functioning women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that do not shift through insight alone, even though they are capable, reflective, and successful in many areas of life.

My work is calm, structured, and trauma-informed, focused on helping the nervous system settle and update so change feels real and sustainable, not forced or effortful.

You do not need to explain everything perfectly or push yourself to go faster than feels safe.

I work at your pace, with clarity, containment, and care.

This is not a commitment. Your information is kept private.
